THE PRESENT:
Gil is an offline artist with no fixed address — he dropped himself in Europe in mid‑2025 with a camera and a backpack to fulfil a life-long dream of autonomous book-making.
An analogue vagabond and full-time tramp, he makes work across the globe.
🚂
THE PAST:
Gil ran the award-winning studio of the late advertising photographer Eryk Fitkau where clients included Sony Ericsson, Levis, Nokia, Steinlager, American Express, Microsoft et al and went on to found Superteam Studios which worked exclusively with some of Australia’s best talent, including Woolmark Prize winning fashion house STRATEAS CARLUCCI and Make-Up Artist Justin Henry (former worldwide Creative Director of Maybelline NY, make-up artist for David LaChapelle, Annie Leibowitz, Helmut Newton, Rankin, et al).
After leaving Superteam, Gil — who became known for his unorthodox approach to image-making — returned to his career as a fine artist while freelancing in music artwork and films for clients including Fatboy Slim, Teskey Brothers, ATO Records, Bluenote Records, Decca, UMG, and Mushroom Group.

Hi, thanks for looking at the things I make, it means a lot.
If you’d like to support the work, you can sign up to the mailing list below (the only place I’ll offer prints and zines and oddities), or if you’re feeling generous you can be a little patron saint for a day or two >>
** Honesty and transparency: I am living out of my backpack with a tarp and quilt, my camera and a notebook and operating on a budget of €5-10 per day so that I can afford to make as much deeply embedded and meaningful work as I possibly can, and in turn, share it with you all x GG
